A High School Aviation Program
Individually Scheduled Activities (dates are subject to change)
- Sep 13- Sep 27 — Flight Simulation experience: Piloting
- Sep 20 — Flight Simulation experience: Navigation.
- Sep 27 – Nov 8 — Flight Day: Each student on teams of two follows a leg of their flight plan developed in the classroom.
- To Be Determined — Engineering Shadow Day Field Trip
STEM education is reinforced through an in-depth visit to a facility like Sikorsky, UTC Aerospace Systems, or Kaman. Students shadow engineers in their facilities and are able to observe engineers using Computer Aided Design (CAD) programs and discuss how to solve design problems.
