We put our connection to the people of Westfield into action.
Promoting community projects and events with the organizations that matter to our community is something we do almost every day. Whether it is sponsorship, promotion, or providing the humanpower and supplies to make things happen, we believe in helping our neighbors and making Westfield a great place to live.
Our students are able to shadow engineers in their facilities for a day. In this program, students may observe engineers using Computer Aided Design programs, discussing how to solve design problems, or see how computer circuit boards are designed and manufactured. Students also meet with administrators to discuss the various engineering careers students may wish to explore and the educational background required for these careers.
The importance of STEM is reinforced through aerodynamic lessons presented to the students during their visit.
Students develop an appreciation of STEM as used in the workplace during site visits to local engineering firms.
Students are introduced to their manufacturing technology program and Aviation Maintenance Technology.
